Accessory Dwelling Units

The county’s zoning code permits internal, attached, and detached accessory dwelling units (ADUs) by right in all districts that permit single-family residences, subject to use-specific standards (§33.50). These standards address size, density, occupancy, and design (§33.50.040). General standards for all accessory housing address certificate of occupancy, structure type, water and wastewater disposal, recording, sale and transfer, and density (§33.50.030).
