The village's policy manual includes a planning/community development policy statement establishing a community bee garden on village-owned land (Policy Statement 5.76). The objective is to provide the community with a designated location to keep bees. The policy statement lists criteria for participation; participants may keep up to 3 hives in the garden, with priority for available space given to those keeping bees for personal, not commercial, use.
