Agritourism | Food Systems

These guidelines were developed to guide the review and establishment of commercial activities on agricultural land in a manner that facilitates the establishment of uses that are secondary to the agricultural uses of the land, support the economic viability of farming and ranching, and minimize conflicts with agricultural activities. The guidelines define key terms and establish goals for the guidelines. It lists agritourism uses deemed compatible with long-term agricultural use that require a permit, and provides performance standards for those uses that address parking, signage, and maximum facility area. The guidelines also list temporary seasonal agritourism uses that do not require permits, and provides performance standards for those uses as well. The guidelines describe review procedures and provide recommended findings for decision makers.
