Planners' Day on Capitol Hill makes advocacy more accessible. This online, one-day experience brings Capitol Hill to you at your desk.

Join forces with planners from your area — speaking as one voice — to make the case for why federal support for housing planning is critical to removing the barriers to housing production and abundance in the communities and regions you serve.

All times below are expressed in Eastern Time.

Planners' Day Training

Access five exclusive advocacy training sessions developed to sharpen your voice, bring you up to speed on the latest pro-planning housing and zoning reform bills, and craft stories from your community to help shape public policy outcomes.

Planners' Day Opening Session

10–11:00 am

Hear from congressional champions for housing and national experts as they weigh in on the path forward for legislation that would support locally-led efforts to increase the housing supply and discuss how housing connects to transportation and other community goals.

Planners' Day Congressional Meetings

11:00 am–4:30 pm

This is your time to shine a light on the communities you serve by sharing your on-the-ground perspectives on the challenges and opportunities for local housing reform. You'll have at least one meeting with your congressional leaders — scheduled by APA — during this time. You'll receive your congressional meeting schedule from Advocacy Associates a couple of weeks before the event.

Planners' Day Closing Celebration

4:30–5:00 pm

Come together with your peers from across the country to connect, share, and celebrate the progress you've made at Planners' Day!
