2022 Federal Priorities for Planning and Communities
2022 is an inflection point for planners and the communities we serve. With historically high levels of federal support, tools, and key reforms in hand, the reinvention of communities will be the focus driving much of what planners do. At the same time, planners must be ready to build on the legislative gains made last year.
The 2022 federal priorities reflect this moment. Strong regulatory and legislative action on these three issues — paired with the work and input of planners on the local and regional level — present an opportunity to ensure last year's landmark investments in planning deliver on the promise for a more equitable, resilient future.
