Your Advanced Specialty Certification demonstrates your specialty experience to colleagues, collaborators, employers, and clients. Enhance your professional profile by featuring your expertise on a new webpage dedicated to promoting Advanced Specialty Certification holders.

How to Submit

To submit your statement, complete the form below. After your statement is submitted, APA staff will upload your submission to the website so other members and employers can learn about your advanced expertise. Your statement will be viewable at www.planning.org/asc.

Here are some tips to develop an engaging ASC experience highlight statement:

  1. Focus on a high-profile planning project you successfully implemented.
  2. Highlight a challenge from the project and how you used your planning expertise to overcome it.
  3. End the statement by summarizing the ongoing successes for the project.
  4. Draft your statement in Word then copy it into the form below.
  5. Keep your submitted statement concise; there is a maximum limit of 200 words (or 1,000 characters).
  6. Or, provide a link to your current professional bio on your employer’s website, LinkedIn, etc.
