About Giffels Webster
Giffels Webster turns community dreams into reality. Our expert Planning Team specializes in creating zoning ordinances and long-term plans for communities of all shapes and sizes. Through lively conversations with public bodies and stakeholders, we translate our clients' development vision into forward-looking plans and pragmatic regulations. Using a combination of our interactive engagement strategies and solid research, we empower communities to achieve their goals and see tangible results.
Our commitment to clear and accessible communication sets us apart, as we recognize its vital role in developing plans that are truly informed by the communities we serve. As practitioners and educators, we make intricate planning concepts approachable, fostering an environment of inclusivity and thoughtful discourse throughout each project. We will work with your boards, commissions, and community-at-large to ensure that all planning discussions are rooted in a common understanding and shared knowledge. Central to this is our innovative and user-friendly Clearzoning® zoning code format.
Clearzoning logically organizes a zoning code and presents it in an easy-to-navigate digital format (PDF) that works online, in print, or as a local file. When users view a Clearzoning code on a phone, tablet, computer screen or sheet of paper, the formatting remains consistent. As part of this work, we also create a GIS-based interactive zoning map, which directly links parcels to the district requirements in the ordinance. By transforming ordinances into simple, user-friendly documents, Clearzoning ensures decision-makers, applicants, and code enforcement operations share a common understanding of rules and expectations.
