The proposed "Southern Trinity Corridor Area Plan" will independently evaluate existing land use and zoning and recommend appropriate zoning in response to a City Plan Commission authorized hearing in the McCommas Bluff/Floral Farms area.

The land use history of this area dates back prior to its annexation into the City of Dallas and zoning after annexation has left unresolved land use, environmental and equity issues that need to be addressed. This area plan will create a detailed future development vision and comprehensive implementation program informed by inclusive community engagement through the combined lenses of social equity, environmental sustainability and economic vitality.

The plan is intended to be incorporated into the updated forwardDallas comprehensive plan by City Council adoption and to serve as the basis for further City action related to zoning, infrastructure, and community development.
