The City of Pico Rivera is accepting proposals from qualified consultants and professional planning firms to prepare municipal code, zoning map and General Plan amendments to reflect the new programs and policies indicated in the 6th Cycle Housing Element and any changes proposed by the Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD). Pico Rivera is currently in the second round of review with HCD and anticipates adoption in June 2022. The amendments include but are not limited to rezoning of sites to accommodate the City's 2021-2029 RHNA need, including a new overlay zone and development regulations, objective design review standards for by right housing, energy efficient housing design etc.
