McHenry County Conservation District is pleased to announce the issuance of a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to identify a qualified contractor to lead the development of a Comprehensive Conservation Plan. We invite your firm to submit for consideration.

Tentatively titled "Forward to 2040 with a Vision to 2071," the plan is scheduled to go into effect in April 2027 (the beginning of the District's 2028 Fiscal Year) and will guide the District's strategic priorities through Fiscal Year 2040. Additionally, the plan will incorporate a long-range vision extending to the year 2071, marking the District's Centennial Anniversary.

This plan will serve as the foundation for future decision-making in the areas of land-use, natural resources management, capital improvement planning, educational programing, climate action and resilience planning, and future development.

Our proposed project timeline is as follows:

• May 23, 2025 — RFQ Released
• June 25, 2025 — Completed, Sealed RFQ's Due (4:30 PM CST)
• July 2025 — Submission Review and Interview with Finalist
• September 2025 — Contract Award
• October 2025 — Project Kick-off Anticipated
