The Town of Windsor (Town) is requesting proposals from a professional consulting firm with demonstrated experience in developing land use, zoning, and subdivision ordinances for the preparation of an updated sign code section that is legally sound, straightforward, and easy to use, for the Town of Windsor Municipal Code, Land Use Code Chapter 15 – Development Standards (Article XVII - Sign Regulations), herein referred to as "development code." The selected firm will prepare and provide documents and associated services for the development of the Sign Code Section of the Town's Land Use Code in accordance with the requirements included within the request for proposal and accompanying documentation.

Preparation of the signage section will consider the Town's applicable adopted plans, studies, intergovernmental agreements, and design standards; will integrate with the existing Land Use Code; will incorporate current code language, professional standards and federal regulations; and will adhere to Town policies.

The proposed updates to the Town's Land Use Code will include some community outreach and/or workshops and limited meetings with key stakeholders, as well as work sessions and public meetings with appointed and elected officials. Based on the specific tasks identified within the Scope of Work, a timeline and calendar of events shall be prepared by the proposing team. The project is planned for a 12-month duration.
