The purpose of the Request for Proposals (RFP) is to receive competitive proposals from qualified consultants who are interested in completing a rewrite of the City of Fitchburg's zoning regulations.

This RFP is released jointly with the City's Comprehensive Plan update RFP. Consultants are welcome and encouraged to submit proposals for both of these RFPs and the City will consider any cost efficiencies of selecting the same consultant for both projects.

The City expects to start the comprehensive plan update in the second quarter of 2026 with the potential to begin the zoning code rewrite in the third quarter of 2027, as the comprehensive planning process is finalizing.
