Historic Preservation Plan

The City of Raleigh is soliciting proposals from qualified consulting firms (consultant) specializing in historic preservation, architecture, architectural history, or a related field with demonstrated experience creating preservation plans, experience working with local historic preservation commissions, and with robust community engagement.

The successful consultant will demonstrate their expertise and experience in best practices of municipal historic preservation commissions; historic preservation planning; land use and preservation law; compliance with federal and state preservation law and regulations; urban design; preservation financial incentives; zoning and land-use planning; preservation architecture; and stakeholder engagement. Their work will exhibit rigorous attention to detail, commitment to public outreach, as well as the ability to provide recommendations and concrete implementation strategies to strengthen Raleigh's historic preservation program.

The successful consultant may include a single firm or team of firms with the necessary experience and knowledge to provide the expertise to achieve the scope of services described in this RFP.
