Through GiGi the Planner, she spreads awareness to youth about the planning field and advocates to increase the number of Black planners. In honor of Black History Month, APA celebrates Augustin's work to expand diversity within planning and showcases how she overcame challenges as a young planner.

Survey: Advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion
APA is committed to advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion within our membership. In order to move conversation into action, APA is joining 14 other national membership organizations, the Association Forum, and McKinley Advisors in a research study to understand motivations, perceptions, challenges, and needs among members and how APA can provide value to you.
By participating in this survey, your unique insights will help APA and the association community at large to move toward actionable solutions to achieve a culture of equity, diversity, and inclusion. Help shape NPC21 proposals
As we look ahead to proposals for the 2021 National Planning Conference, APA seeks topics offering unique insights and innovative approaches that enable planners to anticipate and adapt to change.
For NPC21, we propose fewer, yet more focused education tracks to guide the content to be focused on solutions to major challenges, issues, and trends for communities and how planning practice should evolve to address them.
What are some challenges you face in your community? What topics do you want to see covered? |
