While these commonly fall into two categories: Comprehensive Plans and Land Use Regulations, CPS' s approach supports smaller projects that foster incremental growth and change for client communities such as assessments, analyses, and evaluations. Studio Project Team may gain new projects though relationships our Community Planning Teams have with our on-call clients or via more traditional procurement avenues. The Studio Project Team will house strong project managers with experience in wide ranges of planning projects and project planners who are assigned projects. For projects obtained via an existing Community Planning client, the applicable Client Manager will be an essential member of the project team.
The successful Studio Project Team Lead candidate will have demonstrated experience leading and motivating teams to perform at their highest level to meet project objectives. The Studio Project Team Lead must also have a strong background in the successful management and execution of planning projects including, but not limited to land use regulation updates, master plans, area plans, planning studies and analysis, development of planning studies. A proficient understanding of local government planning, finance, administration, or a combination of experience is necessary for this position. They will have experience with technical, research, and communication skills while holding senior or executive level positions.
Experience working in small or mid-sized communities, working with multidisciplinary design and research teams, being driven in their work with a desire for advancement, and providing high quality service and products are essential to the position. An understanding of Colorado specific land use regulations and laws is necessary for this position. The successful candidate will have a passion for supporting community development though creative thinking, critical assessment, strategic analysis, meticulous attention to detail, and personalized implementation.
