An additional Educational Achievement premium of 2.5% will be paid for a Bachelor's degree plus 2.5% for a job-related graduate degree and a two percent (2%) increase to base salary effective the first full pay period of July 2025.
Ideal candidates will possess a robust background in both long-range and current planning, with a working knowledge of CEQA Guidelines, Subdivision Map Act, and other California housing production laws. This lead planner will manage and coordinate the processing of large development applications across city divisions and departments to expedite entitlement and permitting approvals for housing and commercial development in the Future Growth Area.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Urban Planning, Public Administration, or a related field.
Experience: Four (4) years of planning and community development experience, three (3) of which must be at the professional level. A Master’s Degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration or a related field may be substituted for one (1) year of the required experience.
