Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Urban and Regional Planning or related Pfield

10 years of progressively responsible experience in planning, development, or code administration

5 years of supervisory or management experience

AICP certification

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Experience with development regulations, long-range planning, and customer-facing processes

Ability to lead teams, manage projects, and collaborate across departments

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration, or related field Experience in a high-growth city or rapidly developing region

Track record of successful staff development and team building Pfamiliarity with Texas land use law and annexation procedures

Demonstrated success navigating complex political or stakeholder environments

Strategic mindset with comfort presenting to councils, boards, and community groups
