JOB DESCRIPTION

The City of Huber Heights, Ohio, located just minutes from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and in close proximity of the Dayton International Airport and the I-75/I-70 "Crossroads of America" interchange with a population of 43,439, is seeking qualified applicants for the position of City Planner. This position works under the direction of the Planning and Community Development Director and is responsible for designing and implementing plans for land use, oversee project planning and development for residential, commercial and public structures, update and maintain city codes, policies and procedures related to land use planning, and provides staff support to the City's Planning Commission.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in urban planning or closely related field with a minimum of five years' progressively responsible experience in local government planning; or an equivalent combination of education and experience to provide sufficient evidence of the successful performance of the essential function of the position.

The selection process will include an oral interview(s) on a date TBD to fill an immediate opening for the position of full-time City Planner. The process will begin with screening applicants for requisites and credentials. Prior to appointment, applicants must submit to an extensive background investigation, drug screen and physical examination.

BENEFITS

The salary range for this position is $82,217 to $115,113. Starting salary may be based on experience and qualifications.
