Chief Building Official
Salary: $157,151 to $191,018 annually, plus a $22,500 incentive package

The City of East Palo Alto is seeking an experienced and collaborative Chief Building Official to lead its Building and Code Enforcement Division during an exciting period of growth and development in the heart of Silicon Valley.

Reporting to the Community and Economic Development Director, this senior leadership role oversees building inspections, plan review, permit processing, and code enforcement while ensuring compliance with state, federal, and local regulations. The Chief Building Official plays a critical role in protecting public safety, supporting responsible development, and maintaining community standards that enhance quality of life.
