Assistant Planner/Planner

Join the planning team in one of Vermont's premiere recreation destinations. The Lamoille County Planning Commission (LCPC) is accepting applications for a full-time Assistant Planner/Planner. The Assistant Planner/Planner works with senior planning staff to implement a broad range of projects and programs. This position participates in land use, transportation, natural resources, and emergency management planning activities and researches and drafts documents for review. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in land use planning or a related field such as environmental science, public policy, or GIS. It would be helpful for the applicant to have knowledge of general land use planning principles and possess strong customer service skills. Applicants must be able to work both as a team member and independently. A commitment to community, creativity, a sense of humor, and a positive attitude are all pluses. The position may require occasional evening meetings and public hearings. Salary range of $43,000- $55,000 based on experience.
