A goal of the county's Climate Change Plan is to adopt policies to establish and implement a County Renewable Energy Initiative. Objectives include applying for grants and committing funds for solar PV panels at the OCCC, developing a program to provide tax incentives and/or tax credits for solar energy manufacturers within the county, retrofitting county buildings with renewable energy systems, and considering establishing an incentive program to increase solar hot water heaters and PV panels on residential homes and businesses within the county (p. 8).
