Complete Streets
The city’s comprehensive plan includes extensive policy recommendations that support complete streets. The plan’s Transportation element includes four objectives (1.33; 1.34; 1.35; 1.36) and 21 policies that address complete streets implementation.
Solar Energy
The city's comprehensive plan includes goals, objectives, and policies that support solar energy use. The plan's Conservation Element recommends increasing the use of solar technology and renewable energy, developing a strategic energy plan to achieve the goal of installing 15 MW of solar power generation capacity by 2015, developing a web-based solar resource mapping tool, developing an implementing a master solar plan, cooperating in the initiation of the Solar PV pilot program and Solar Thermal Pilot Program, and supporting renewable energy technologies (Policies 2.2.2–2.2.7).
