Housing Supply Planning  |  Rethinking Off-Street Parking Requirements

This article supports the idea that access to transit service decreases the demand for off-street parking. It presents the results of a study of parking demand in two transit-oriented areas in King County, Washington. It found that demand for parking in these areas was lower than the supply dictated by minimum off-street parking requirements.
