This food systems assessment creates an "Iowa Food System Report Card" based on 14 food system indicators and evaluates the resilience and health of the state's food system as "poor." The report then offers a series of 14 sets of recommendations for action for five food systems sectors: production; transformation; distribution, marketing, and retail; food access; and waste management.
