The county’s comprehensive plan addresses farmland protection in its Land Use Element Code. It includes a section on agricultural resource lands that provides background on the county’s farmland and agricultural activity, describes several issues facing agricultural resource lands, and establishes eight policies for agricultural resource lands that emphasize their protection and maintenance.
