Farmland Protection | Food Systems

The town’s comprehensive plan contains goals, policies and actions that address farmland protection. It includes policies of creating an agricultural preservation strategy (Policy 1.2) and encouraging the preservation of farmland (Policy 1.3), and offers action items of land-use protections for prime agricultural lands (Action 1.2.1), along with support of right-to-farm laws (Action 1.3.1) and agricultural districts law (Action 1.3.2).
