Creative Placemaking

This article focuses on how creative placemaking can encourage participatory policymaking. It proposes that creative practices encourage an inclusive approach to policymaking, which supports sustainable development by incorporating perspectives that historically have had less political influence. Additionally, it discusses how placemaking can support civic participation, incorporate local cultural knowledge, and encourage community members to consider alternative solutions to issues on multiple scales.
