Creative Placemaking

The city’s creativity functional plan identifies goals related to expand support for arts and culture initiatives and encourage Providence to grow its creative center. Goals include building community and fostering community vitality through diverse participation, educating creative thinkers, and creating conditions that encourage creative workers to be successful in their communities. Strategies related to community involvement include investing in the cultural life of neighborhoods, supporting neighborhood cultural centers, and investing in programs that increase access to public cultural programs.
