Creative Placemaking
The region’s comprehensive plan discusses the importance of creative placemaking in supporting healthy and livable communities. It states that the region needs funding and policies at the local and state level to support creative activities in all communities. A section on community-centered arts and culture provides strategies for creative placemaking, including providing flexible and affordable spaces to live and produce art, expanding access to art opportunities, and engaging residents to engage in comprehensive planning.
Social Equity
This regional comprehensive plan has Equity as its first core value. The Equity page lists the related plan recommendations that address institutions, transportation, climate change, and affordability. Each of these recommendations includes specific strategies, outcomes, and funding sources.
