Accessory Dwelling Units

This model ordinance is designed to help cities and towns in Western Massachusetts adopt zoning regulations for accessory dwelling units (ADUs). Provisions address standards for ADUs, application procedure, transfer of ownership of a dwelling with an ADU, existing ADUs, conflict with other laws, and severability.
