This interactive map shows the gap between the number of extremely low-income (ELI) renter households and the number of available units by county. Nationally, it reports that there are only 46 units for every 100 ELI households, demonstrating a need to develop more affordable housing.

Social Equity

This interactive map shows the affordable rental housing gap at the county level. It uses HUD and USDA Assistance data to display the number of units per 100 extremely low income renter households. This trend can be viewed over time, using data from the 2000 Census and the 2005-2009 and 2010-2014 American Community Surveys.
