This model document provides a template to help cities in British Columbia assess their affordable housing needs. It standardizes the process of conducting a Need and Demand Study, which is a required input of the province’s affordable housing allocation decisions. The study framework is divided into seven sections, each with an accompanying description and a list of potential data sources.
