This briefing paper shares the results of a study that looked at the impact of LIHTC-funded affordable housing projects on property values. It finds that these projects raised property values in low-income neighborhoods and depressed property values in higher-income neighborhoods, but that they produced other positive neighborhood effects in both cases. It discusses the policy implications of these findings.
