This case study shows how the state of Massachusetts’s 40T statute helped preserve an affordable housing development that serves seniors and disabled residents in Cambridge. It highlights how the state’s statute slowed down the process to give the city and a local nonprofit housing developer time to acquire the funds necessary to take over the building.
