Affordable Housing Programs

The county’s comprehensive plan includes an affordable housing element. It outlines the purpose of the affordable housing element, current and future housing needs, and housing policies that address supply, access, and sustainability. An implementation framework and monitoring and reporting plan supplement the element.

Biophilic Planning

The Arlington County Comprehensive Plan includes many elements of biophilia in the Public Spaces Master Plan component. This section creates policies and tolls that will allow for the development and management of the county’s parks and natural resources. The Public Spaces Master Plan also includes the sub-elements of an Urban Forest Master Plan, a Public Art Master Plan and a Natural Resources Management Plan.
