Artificial Intelligence and Planning

This article reviews the existing literature (as of 2010) on the use of planning in AI. It focuses on urban land-use dynamics and how AI systems have previously existed in silos, limited to solving individual problems, and describes the need for a more holistic approach to the use of AI in planning.
