Artificial Intelligence and Planning

This article explores the benefits and risks associated with the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to solve urban issues by investigating the emergence and sustainability of artificial intelligence through the lens of smart cities. The authors explore existing literature, research, trends, and applications of AI technologies in urban areas and conclude that developments of AI and cities need to be refined and better aligned toward sustainability goals.
