This interactive map provides information on the status of agricultural land in the United States. It allows users to visualize the threats to farmland as it displays information at the state level of the acres of farmland converted to non-agricultural uses between 2001 and 2016. It also presents a policy scorecard that measures the extent to which states have used policy tools to protect farmland and support agricultural activities. The call for action section recommends that states follow five high-level actions to help preserve their farmland. This web page provides access to additional resources that further detail the information provided in the interactive map, including reports and several webinars.
