This county's comprehensive plan contains an appendix with the county's farmland preservation plan. It presents the history of farmland preservation within the jurisdiction, inventories the county's agricultural industry, and offers tools, recommendations, and planning standards to help preserve agricultural land and activities. Some of the tools include land use plans, zoning, agricultural enterprise areas (AEA), farmland preservation agreements, and purchase of development rights (PDR) (Chapter 3).
