Scenario Planning

This article explains what scenario planning is and the difference between normative and exploratory approaches to scenario planning. Three key concepts for successful scenario planning are collaboration between stakeholders, capacity building to use scenario planning processes and tools, and the creation of an open environment for engagement. Various examples of scenario planning at different scales are included.
