Autonomoys Vehicles  |  Smart Cities

This practitioner paper overviews autonomous vehicles and what local governments need to know and begin doing before implementation onto the streets. Cities need to consider that state legislation, local regulations, and the responsibilities and liabilities applicable. A robotaxi point person must be identified and cities already implementing robotaxis must be studied from. Robotaxi operations will require cross-departmental collaboration and a frameword for problem-solving.
