Course Details
The panel will include descriptions of common stages and milestones of planning careers and the indicators that precede career changes. The panel will suggest the similarities and differences between public, private, and non-profit sector planning environments.
Panel members will suggest tools for preparing a 5-year personal plan, enhancing employability, networking and peer support, and evaluating "a good fit" between a job and a candidate. It will also include a candid conversation by two planning directors about their "a-ha" moments that had them mapping out their next chapters.
Additionally, we will share how a small group of peers came together to help with an objective assessment of what can come next in a friend's career and how that process can be used to help at various stages of a planning career.
