Jack Molenaar, AICP, is both an advocate for thoughtful planning and an elected official. With more than 22 years of transportation planning experience, Molenaar brings with him to his elected office a unique understanding of what it takes to educate the public and community leaders on plans that will shape the future of our cities — an understanding that he owes entirely to planning.

We recently caught up with Jack to talk about why he believes his planning background helped prepare him well for office and how it ultimately led to his participation in a 2016 national presidential convention.
