APA Statement on FY 2018 Omnibus Spending Bill

APA supports the critical investments in the future of our communities reflected in the FY 2018 omnibus spending bill released March 21. We applaud the work of Congress in moving forward a funding bill that provides needed boosts for a range of transportation, housing, community development, data and critical infrastructure programs.

Advocates for good planning have long urged Congress to support these programs, and the omnibus represents a victory for those voices urging new investment in stronger, more prosperous communities.

APA calls on Congress to adopt this legislation and hopes that this funding bill forms the foundation for renewed federal efforts supporting our infrastructure, our communities, and our future.
