Volunteer and Get Involved
APA members who volunteer on committees and task forces and in other activities play an important part in advancing the planning movement and enhancing the credibility of the profession and the AICP credential.
For example, APA's Legislative and Policy Committee drafts policy guides that are discussed, revised, and adopted by chapter volunteers at the annual Delegate Assembly. The committee also recommends legislative priorities to guide APA's advocacy efforts in each new Congress.
